About me:
My channel name is DLH which stands for Dorm Life Hacks. My first segment of this channel will be about my recipe documentation using our limited cooking equipment in a dorm room set-up. This channel is dedicated to my Facebook page @cookinginaricecooker where I started posting recipes and pictures of my finished product in April 2020. We needed to be creative and maximize everything that we have in our dorm-slash-home :). By the way, I am based in Manila and my parents are both Ilocano who influenced me to my love for any dish with bagoong or fermented fish. I started cooking when I was ten years old to help my single mom run her karinderya located in front of our house, our main source of income back then. Cooking brings me joy and memories.
I created this channel to promote home-cooked meals which is more practical and safe especially at this time of the pandemic. This is also to let everyone know that they do not need expensive cooking equipment to prepare their favorites! I hope to inspire everyone that cooking sparks joy.
My cooking equipment:
1.5L rice cooker
Brand: Kyowa
My vlogging equipment:
All my videos are taken and will be taken using a phone particularly an iP7 or iP11.
Video editing:
I am still learning about this vlogging world and I have limited resources. I started using the free video editing (W10 Video Editor) software on my laptop and iMovie on my phone. Thumbnails are edited through Lightroom and Canva.
