iMovie in Sonoma (maybe older versions too) can import Prores log from an iPhone and convert it into rec709 automatically. This compares that video with shooting normally with the HEVC codec.
I recorded the Prores log directly to this hard drive which also includes a USB-C 3.0 cable.
