Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren arrived in New Delhi on Saturday, May 28. He met Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and held a discussion over Rajya Sabha seat from Jharkhand.
The Congress is eyeing fielding their candidate for the Rajya Sabha berth from Jharkhand.
CM Hemant Soren likely discussed fielding a common candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat from the Congress- Jharkhand Mukti Morcha- Rashtriya Janata Dal alliance.
Following the meeting, Hemant Soren said that the nominee for the Rajya Sabha seat will be announced soon.
