Some geostationary satellites are visible in this time-lapse taken with a Canon EOS 450d (Rebel XSi) and a Tamron 300mm telephoto lens pointing M42, the great nebula of Orion. Each subframe is a 30 seconds exposition at ISO1600. The DSLR camera is mounted over an EQ6 equatorial mount to avoid the sideral motion of the stars. This is the reason we see these satellites moving.
