I built this custom wine cellar in my basement. The cellar has fir and birch cabinetry and wine racks on 2 walls. It holds approximately 400 bottles in the racks. I built them myself in my woodshop but frankly none of it was difficult. I spent about $600 total. A ton of insulation keeps it at 62 degrees F in summer and winter. Door $100, insulation $120, drywall $80, lumber $150, lighting $120, etc. After this video was published I added in an old wine barrel to serve as a table. When I built it I had the intention of adding a chiller but found that the constant temperature was reasonable and I decided to just leave it.

Not a woodworker? You can buy premade racks and make your own cellar:
