Each year, more than 120,000 people from around the world gather at the Las Vegas Convention Center to see in person, the best in consumer electronic products. This event creates the perfect storm for networking between vendors, manufacturers, distributors, and members of the media to showcase their latest and greatest, as well as prototypes that serve as a sneak peek into the future.
Some of this year's trends included integrated artificial intelligence, connected smart devices, augmented/virtual reality, ultra thin LED TV's, and empathy robots. Brands worked hard to capture the attention of passing attendees, with elaborate eye catching 3D displays, jet packs, and most importantly, shiny new tech showered in white light.
Reading between the demo lines and dizzying rows of companies who participated in CES, one thing is clear, the hunger to innovate, the desire to improve, and the drive to push the boundaries of possibility are not showing signs of slowing anytime soon. While many of the concepts that appeared at the show may never be sold at a store near you, the ideas sprouted from their existence still have the potential to change our world.
