The bad guys have to look cooler than the good ones – it is the one universal rule of every genre of fiction and there’s no two ways about it. Speaking of the Transformers, they have effectively managed to keep their side of the bargain while enthralling fans of all ages and for decades through their comic books, animated shows, live-action flicks and, let’s not forget, their coolest action figures. Now, as compassionate and humane the celebrated Autobots have been, the infamous Decepticons have been nothing less than ruthless and barbaric. Mind you, the villainous Decepticons will literally stop at nothing to lay their hands on power, dominate an entire universe and witness the defeat of the heroic Autobots.
