Two 1989 sitcoms with stars looking to launch a new hit show. But it was not to be. Ann Jillian was a fish out of water, a former Radio City Rockettte who moved to a small town in California after her husband's death. 13 episodes produced, ten aired, three didn't. But you get a pretty good theme courtesy Ray Colcord. In 'Knight and Daye' Jack Warden is a radio host who had a bitter split with his partner. Years later, can they work together without driving each other crazy? Apparently not; cancelled after seven episodes. The theme is not too shabby: Cole Porter's 'Night and Day'.
