You know that Hard Times article about how the underwater music in Donkey Kong Country is a ridiculously gorgeous and transcendent piece for a song accompanying a video game level where you're a gorilla riding a swordfish underwater? Well, this is the equivalent of that for finishing all the tracks in a game where a plumber drives a go-kart. The mainline Nintendo games in this era always had touching ending songs, like the Yoshi's Island credits music which still gets my eyes misty to this day. This isn't quite at that level for me, but it's not far off. I mean that part where the choir comes in, WOW! I can only hope I manged to capture the original song's beauty here.
Original composer Kenta Nagata. This remaster by me.
