1967: A Fight Scene at the 5th Street Gym
This April 1967 WTVJ newsclip catches a glimpse of the making of "Tony Rome," the Frank Sinatra private eye flick released later that year.
As the crew sets up at Miami Beach's legendary 5th Street Gym, Sinatra chats with co-star Rocky Graziano. After Graziano gets made up (at 00:00:19:00) everybody moves to a stairwell, where Sinatra and Graziano work out a shot with director Gordon Douglas at 00:00:34:06. Douglas, whose back is to the camera, wears a fishing cap.
The Wolfson Archives is showing "Tony Rome" on laserdisc next Wednesday (9/24) at 6:30 PM. The screening is free in Room 8401 at Miami Dade College - Wolfson Campus. For more details visit the event page: [ Ссылка ] .
