If you own a Chromebook you may have noticed you've recently received an update notice. Yes, that's right Chrome OS 107 has landed. There are some great new features available on your Chromebook once you've updated to the latest version of ChromeOS.

Easier way to find your files in ChromeOS

One of the new features makes it much easier to filter through your files that are sitting in your Downloads folder. If you have lots of files in your downloads folder it can be difficult to find a specific one.

This new feature allows you to quickly look at your recent files. From there, you can filter down even more. For example, if you're looking for an image you have recently been working on. You can simply click on Recent Files and then filter for images.

This makes it much easier to find specific files on your Chromebook, and it's a great new feature because you no longer need to scroll through long lists of files, so it saves you time and will help with productivity.

You can now save virtual desks for later use

Virtual desks have been updated, so you can now save desks for later use. What's great about this is that any desks you save for later use will also be available when you next login to your Chromebook. A pretty handy feature, which will be most welcomed by anyone who uses virtual desks.

Better security options for when you close your Chromebook lid

Another new feature, which offers more security is the ability to change what happens when you open your Chromebook lid. When opening up the lid instead of being presented with your Chromebook desktop. You can now set it so a password or PIN is required when the lid is reopened.

This is perfect for anyone who is in a rush. You can simply close your Chromebook lid and know that if anyone tries to use it they will need a password or PIN when the lid is reopened.
