This was an impulse song. I pass by this lovely mural of honeybees all the time but I don’t know who ever gets to appreciate it since it’s under a MARTA train tunnel and an intersection. Early on in the 100 Day Project, I wouldn’t have posted a last-minute one-take song with vocals all over the place. But hey, I can see the finish line and I’m sprinting to the end. This is the kinda song I sing in the shower. As in my last few videos, I’m engaging with the sounds of the city. You’ll hear a MARTA train roar past me like a crazy newbie drummer. I didn’t see a tag, or I’d credit the artist. I appreciate what public art does for a city. I’m so happy to finally stop to truly take in this mural and to share it now.
As always, thank you for listening.
Song credit: John Farrar, “You’re The One That I Want”, (1978)
Performed memorably by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in the movie “Grease”
