The Supreme Court declines to entertain Mumbai's ex-Commissioner of Police Parambir Singh's plea, asks him to approach the Bombay High Court first. Singh approached the apex court over his allegations against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh of an extortion racket.
Supreme Court said that the allegations levelled by former Mumbai police commissioner Prama Bir Singh against Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh are very serious. The top court also asked senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for Singh, as to why he is not approaching Bombay High Court for seeking a CBI probe.
