(24 Feb 2019) Violent gale-force winds brought severe disruption to parts of Malta, whipping up such strong waves that live fish were washed onto roads and pavements.
The stormy weather flooded roads and uprooted trees alongside seaside towns popular with tourists.
Restaurants and other buildings on the island were damaged.
