Paleymotion was hired to document the 'Roof of the World Festival' in Tajikistan. This video is the result of a multimedia workshop lead and organized by Matthieu and Mareile Paley (paleyphoto.com and pamirknot.com) in the Pamir mountains of Tajikistan.
Set in Khorog's restored Central Park, the Roof of the World Festival included two ensembles of traditional music from across the river in Afghanistan, one troupe from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan each, and a local group performing folkloric Tajik tunes.
Local NGOs and international development organizations set up stands and demonstrated energy efficient technologies during the day.
