In this lecture, I relate Deleuze and Guattari's notoriously confusing idea of the body without organs to Foucault's idea of a discourse. I explain some of the implications for the body without organs on newness and revolution and rely on analogizing a discourse and the body without organs to a grate on a street to explain the way discursive conditions constrain knowledge, and thus how Deleuze and Guattari's epistemology differs from Foucault's.
