HARISSA SAUCE
7 dried New Mexico Chiles2 red bell peppers
1 tbsp tomato paste
3 garlic cloves
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp coriander
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp cayenne (do less if you dont like spicy)
dash of salt
1 lemon
3 tbsp olive oil
-place dried chiles in a bowl with hot water. let soak for 30 minutes to re-hydrate. Drain the chiles and take off stems and seeds
-cut bell peppers in half and roast for 20 mins in air fryer at 450. you can also use the oven and broil them until charred. once roasted place in a bowl with a plastic wrap. then remove skins from bell peppers
-add remaining ingredients into a food processor. pulse until all ingredients are combined. store in a jar with a little olive oil on top. we will use this for a couple recipes to come but this is good on almost anything! #harissa
