Caring for others is hard. Ben uses his own life as a platform to show why it’s worth doing.
High school dropout, to University science student, Ben has had a life of ups and downs that led him to his current understanding of what it means to care about someone. Poet, writer and mover and shaker of Bharatanatayam dancing, Ben is proud to share his passion with the world. As a teen, Ben dropped out of high school and left home. He went overseas to Fiji for a few months as a volunteer, until a near-death experience brought him back to Australia. He then served three years in the military, before discharging due to injury.
Ben is now found at QUT as a student in the Biomedical Sciences, and fills his spare time with writing, poetry and promoting feminism to anyone who will listen. He awakens his diverse life experiences with passion and energy, and dreams of changing the world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
