I play what I wanna call a simplified version of the original picking pattern, which is hard to make out exactly, because there's two to three different acoustic guitars intertwining in the original recording. Generally, it's a mixture of strumming and picking, so yeah.
This pattern should be pretty close to how Chris plays it live.
