The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad swept the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) polls on Saturday winning three of the four central panel posts. The NSUI of the Congress won the post of vice-president while the RSS-affiliated ABVP won the President, Secretary and Joint Secretary posts.
Tushar Dedha of ABVP is the new DUSU president and Abhi Dahiya of NSUI the vice-president. ABVP's Aparajita and Sachin Baisla are the new NSUI secretary and joint secretary. The ABVP had won three of the four seats in the last elections in 2019 as well. DUSU polls were not held in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19. It wasn't held 2022 so as to not disturb the academic calendar after two years of Covid.
