The University Town Islamabad housing society (a cooperative housing society) was established in 1992. It was, however, launched in 2005 after obtaining planning permission and a letter of approval from the relevant authorities.
Approximately 4500 Kanals of land are occupied by the University Town housing project.
It is built on a rural land previously known as Bajnial in District Rawalpindi.
Located ideally in the proximity of New International Airport and it is a place where you can buy affordable properties for sale as well as for building your own dream house.
Development works of the society are progressing at a steady pace and soon the possession of the remaining plots will be handed over to allottees.
University Town Islamabad: Location
University Town is located on Kashmir Highway (now Srinagar highway) near Lahore-Islamabad Motorway interchange and a 5-minute drive from the New International Islamabad Airport.
The selling point of this society is that located next to the Motorway on Srinagar Highway Link Road before the toll plaza.
The prime location of University Town is not only attractive but also in proximity to Islamabad City.
University Town Islamabad: NOC Status
University Town NOC was initially approved by CDA. It was also approved by Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA), and Environmental Protection Department (EPD).

University Town Islamabad Blocks
University Town is divided into 6 blocks alphabetically named A, B, C, D, and E & F for the convenience of its residents.
Half of the blocks in the University Town Islamabad developed while the development works in the other half are in progress.
The progress of the remaining blocks is as follows:
University Town Block E is 80% developed with only minor utility works remaining.
University Town Block C is almost 40% developed with ongoing earthwork and F block is in its initial development stage.
Development Work in Blocks A, B & D
The developed blocks in University Town comprise A, B and D blocks.
Some houses in these blocks are constructed and their occupants are enjoying a peaceful and comfortable life.
Underground electrification civil works were completed in A Block whereas underground electrification in Block B and D has been done.
Electrification works are completed in A Block whereas underground electrification in University Town Block E and Block C is being done in full swings like duct line cross and gate and road cross works being done.
These blocks are equipped with all necessities including water, electricity, carpeted roads, and paved streets.
A park equipped with a variety of swings is also built-in into these blocks for residents of the university town to do physical activity.
Development Work in Blocks E, F & C
E, F & C blocks of the University Town are still developing. The Civil works in University Town E block are in full swing, and the latest machinery is used for the plotting and levelling of the land.
While C & F Blocks are next in the line to get developed. The time frame given for the development of these blocks is from 1 to 1.5 years.
Possession
The possession of the plots in A, B & D Blocks of the society is offered immediately to its buyers but for the developing blocks, the possession will not be granted until the development work is fully completed.
The Possession of the plots in the E block is expected to be granted between the next 6 months to 1 year and for the remaining C & F blocks of the society, it will take a longer period.
The possession of these two blocks will be granted not later than 1 to 1.5 years, which is not that long or uncommon for modern housing societies, prominent housing projects like Airport Green Garden a has also given the same time frame to their investors for the possession.
