Poul Holm's main field of interest is marine environmental history. While being a Fellow at the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society in Munich, he wrote an environmental history of world fisheries. Holm is Trinity Long Room Hub Professor of Humanities at Trinity College Dublin and director of the Irish Digital Arts and Humanities PhD program.
