We hear from some of the 100+ young adults who completed our Out There Award during 2023.
During the year:
🏅 103 completed the award at 23 events
📢 100% of participants said they’d recommend it to others
🏕 30 graduates went on to complete the Out There Award Plus responsible camping & volunteering weekend
🗺 Ten are on track to become official Ambassadors of the scheme!
The Out There Award is 100% free & always held in accessible locations to help break down barriers to the outdoors.
Of this year's participants:
• 39% were from minority ethnic groups
• 32% from LGBTQI+ groups
• 22% have a disability
• 16% from the most deprived tenth of Scottish communities.
