If you've been out of the gym for a while, you might be concerned that it's going to take forever for you to build your muscle and strength again. In reality, the process of gaining muscle BACK is much faster than gaining new muscle. The reason is because of muscle memory. Muscle memory is the phenomenon we're talking about, namely gaining muscle rapidly after a break from the gym.
I believe there are 2 reasons for muscle memory. The first reason is because you already know how to do the movements involved in building muscle. Namely, the muscle building exercises.
The next reason isn't so obvious. You can rapidly gain your muscle back because of widespread decreases in methylation (hypomethylation). This decrease in methylation aids in muscle hypertrophy and it seems to last even after you stop lifting weights.
That being said, you should still be doing home workouts. We've put out an entire playlist of home workouts which I'll include at the end of this video.
