Fred Couples Fred has the most marvelous rhythm of anybody out on the tour but what Fred does when he chips he takes his left hand off the club and just uses his right hand the reason he does this is to just to maintain proper grip pressure and rhythm why don't you try it and get the same results as Fred another way of varying distance when you're chipping instead of changing clubs is changing your grip position on the same Club start with the grip all the way at the end of the grip go to the middle of the grip then go up to the steel NOW Watch What Happens now I grip up in the Middle with the same effort now grip up on the steel they all go three distances with the same effort that's how you simply change distances using the same Club when you're making your practice swings try to swing it enough times to establish the bottom of your Arc bottom of your Ark bottom of your Ark then move the ball that far back from the bottom of the Ark when you address the ball like this then make the swing it should come out perfect
