"So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they become inevitable" (Christopher Reeve). Films are the stuff of dreams, literally, as they embody filmmakers’ hopes and aspirations and, in many cases, serve as their direct inspiration. Meanwhile, festivals act as collectors of these filmic dreams, effectively "catching" them before presenting them to audiences. If a dream and its dreamer are one and the same, indivisible and irreducible, then so too are a film and its filmmaker.
