The CipherLab CP60 is one of the newest mobile computers to hit the market in 2013 and it's designed to take a beating. Like all industrial mobile computers, one of the most important features is its durability, and with an IP65 rating, this mobile computer is built to last even in the toughest enviroments. But the CipherLab CP60 offers a lot more than just durability. It's one of the first mobile computers to offer an option for 4G LTE, so you can transfer data at blazing fast speeds. It also has several modes of encryption so your data never ends up in the wrong hands. The CP60 runs the latest versions of Windows Embedded Handheld or Windows C.E. and has a battery life of up to 10 hours, which makes it easy to access your apps through an entire shift. If you need to keep track of employees using the handheld, the unit is equipped with an assisted GPS system...and if productivity is a concern, the CP60 also features CipherLab's proprietary App Lock, which lets you limit access to available applications on the unit. The version we received included Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 professional and includes mobile versions of Powerpoint, Excel, and Word. Applications loaded almost instantly and the 3.5 inch touch screen was very responsive when using the attached stylus or your fingertips to navigate the menus. The unit has a bit of weight to it but the adjustable handstrap and ergonomic shape should help minimize fatigue. For applications that require a lot of scanning, a pistol grip is also available.
