On November 6th, in Verona, Italy, we lost a great soul. An amazing show jumper. A big inspiration. We lost Hickstead, this amazing horse. He will never be forgotten. Hickstead will be a part of history for sure, nobody will ever forget him. This is so tragic.
Hickstead was 15. Eric and him accomplished so much things together. They won so much competitions together. Their bond was just so inspirational. It's always the best that leave in first. And Eric being number one around the world, is just amazing. Because he's from HERE, Quebec. This is making me believe that our dreams can become true, if we really believe in it. Just like they both did. Hickstead just loved competing. He loved that people were proud of him. He was one of those amazing horse that everyone around the world would DIE to have. I really believe in myself. Even though I am just at the beginning, I know one day I will be able to do it.
Hickstead, until his very last moment, was a champion. And he will always be. Rest in peace, Hickstead. You were a champion, you are a champion, and you will always be a champion. You are amazing, thank you for being my inspiration of all time. I will never forget you.
