This MITS Altair 680 came to me from a fellow I became friends with after the sale. It was sold in working condition, but sadly was not 100% functional, as I describe in the video. It *is* 100% functional now, though! This machine has a special adapter board in the 680 bus slot that allows you to use S100 bus memory cards. The 680 memory cards were expensive due to a lack of competition in that market segment, and after getting in touch with one of the fellows who designed the board, he informed me that they published an article about it in Kilobaud magazine. I haven't found the article yet, but I believe he said it was titled "Cheap memory for the Altair 680". If you know which issue (or magazine, if he remembered incorrectly), please let me know!
