Chicken Tikka Biryani

Ingredients for Chicken Tikka:
Chicken pieces 1 kg
NESTLÉ MILKPAK Yogurt 1 cup
Tikka Masala 3 Tbsp
Lemon Juice 2 Tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Orange Food Color (a pinch)
Oil 1/2 cup
Heated coal pieces 1-2
Oil (for smoke) 1 tsp

Ingredients for Boiled Rice:
Water as required
Salt 1 tbsp
Green cardamom 4-5
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Star anise 2-3
Soaked rice 2 ½ cups

Ingredients for Chicken Tikka Masala:
Oil 1/4 cup
Green cardamom 4-5
Star anise 1-2
Cinnamon stick 1-2
Black cardamom 2
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Onion (sliced) 1 cup
Tomatoes (sliced) 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Tikka masala 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp
NESTLÉ MILKPAK Yogurt 1 cup
Cooked chicken tikka

Ingredients for Assembling:
Chicken tikka gravy
Boiled rice
Green coriander as required
Lemon slices as required
Orange food color 1 tsp

Directions for Chicken Tikka Preparation:
1. In a bowl add chicken pieces, NESTLÉ MILKPAK Yogurt, tikka masala, lemon juice, orange food color, ginger garlic paste and marinate for half an hour.
2. In a pan heat oil, marinated chicken and cook for 4-5 mins.
3. Now cover and cook until it's fully done. Place heated coal in it. drizzle oil and smoke for 1-2 mins. set aside.
Directions for Boiled Rice Preparation:
4. Add water, cumin seeds, salt, green cardamom, and star anise in a pot. When it starts boiling add soaked rice in it. Cook until 80% done. strain and set aside.
Directions for Chicken Tikka Masala Preparation:
5. In a pan heat oil and add green cardamom, star anise, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom, cumin seeds and saute for a few seconds.
6. Add onion and cook for a minute. Add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and cook for 4-5 mins. add red chili powder, tikka masala, coriander powder, salt and mix it well.
7. Add NESTLÉ MILKPAK Yogurt and cook for 2-3 mins.
8. Add cooked chicken tikka tikka and let it cook in masala for 2-3 mins. your chicken tikka masala is ready.
Directions for Assembling:
9. In a pot add a layer of chicken tikka masala, boiled rice, chicken tikka masala, boiled rice and garnish it with green coriander, lemon slices and drizzle orange food color at last.
10. Now cover and steam the biryani over low flame for 10-15 mins.
11. Your Chicken Tikka Biryani is ready to serve.
