"Tales of King Khufu and the Magicians" is one of the masterpieces of Ancient Egyptian literature.
These tales come from the Westcar Papyrus (1782 - 1570 BCE). These tales are set in the time of king Cheops (Khufu) the builder of the Great Pyramid. The ancient Egyptians believed in magic and its power. Magic played an essential role in the Egyptian religion, mythology, and even in daily life.
