After that nasty border crossing from Vietnam, we decided to get back to exploring the beautiful world! Our first stop in Cambodia: PHNOM PENH! In this video, we talk about our first impressions of Phnom Penh city, the capital of Cambodia and walked on the streets before ending up at the Tonle Sap riverfront. There we found a classic jungle boat offering cruises on the Mekong River - the Tonle Sap merges into the Mekong at Phnom Penh.
Called Crocodile Cruises Phnom Pehn, they were charging only USD 5 (INR 400) for a full one hour sunset cruise - and we knew we had to do it! So we signed up by contacting Captain Kim (details below). The cruise began at 5:30 pm and we sailed into the Tonle Sap river which merged a kilometer down, into the Mekong river. The confluence of these rivers was just so beautiful! On one side there's the towering concrete skyline of the Phnom Penh city, and the other, a silent fishing village with stilt houses on the river! Our cruise turned out to be real fun with all the food, drinks, music and partying on board! Just watch the beautiful colours of the sky in this video as the sun set! What do you think? 😍
