Through donations by Latter-day Saints each month in what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints calls fast day, enough money was collected to purchase a mobile kitchen for the Red Cross of Rome. Fast day usually includes abstaining from food and drink for two meals and donating the equivalent of the meals to the Church to help those in need.
The kitchen is capable of preparing 900 meals per day and will be used to feed refugees and help during emergencies.
