TikTok sensation Eva Evans has tragically died by suicide.
Evans, aged 29, was a popular creator based in New York City with over 300,000 followers. She directed and starred in the Prime Video series "Club Rat."
According to law enforcement sources reported by TMZ on Tuesday, a friend discovered Evans hanging in her NYC apartment on Saturday night, having seen her on Friday.
"Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died," wrote Evans' sister Lila Joy Baumgardner on Instagram Sunday.
Per TMZ, the friend who called the police indicated they were unaware of Evans being depressed or otherwise emotionally disturbed. Sources stated there was no sign of a struggle, no unusual injuries, and Evans left a note behind.
Her official cause of death is still pending toxicology reports.
Eva Evans previously shared that her father also died by suicide.
Evans was known for her videos portraying life as a 20-something in New York City.
Her series "Club Rat" follows the story of an influencer attempting to navigate the chaotic New York City dating scene after a video of her breakup goes viral.
In a heartfelt letter addressing her father's suicide, she urged others to prioritize mental health and seek help when needed.
"I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don't," added Evans' sister in her Instagram post.
