Carbon type bedding is essential in a worm bin when making natural fertilizer & soil amendments for your garden via worm castings. But when do you stop putting bedding in as your compost worm bin progresses?
In this video I go over when I stop putting bedding in and go to predominantly feeding food scraps, spent coffee & pulverized egg shell grit.
I mostly use shredded cardboard as bedding for my vermicompost worm bins, and the cardinal rule of worm bins is "you can never have too much bedding" but at some point you have to get to finished castings. This bin is there...I think!
Epigeic worms or composting worms are fascinating natural composters & fertilizers that are in most homesteaders bag of tricks to make free organic fertilizer & soil amendments. If you've ever thought about vermicomposting or composting with worms to make organic fertilizer & natural soil amendments with your kitchen scraps or food waste, this is the channel for you. I have 3 worm composing bins which you can watch from start to finished worm casting on the 3 playlists following each bin. If you haven't started yet, get started now and vermicompost with me!🪱🪱🪱 Visit my Channel at [ Ссылка ]
