Stop doing intense cardio before your workouts!
Research shows that cardio before lifting weights negatively impacts lifting performance. On the other hand, if you perform cardio after lifting, you won’t sacrifice the quality of your lifting session while still effectively improving cardiovascular fitness.
In practice, I suggest everyone incorporate some cardio for overall health, regardless of physique goals. However, most people should either perform it after lifting weights, separated by about 6 hours, or on a different day.
Keep in mind, a 5-10 minute, low intensity warm up prior to lifting is perfectly fine.
