Do you want to know how LiDAR works?
Ever wondered how self-driving cars 'see' the world around them?
Meet LiDAR: Light Detection and Ranging.
It's like RADAR, but instead of radio waves, it uses laser beams.
LiDAR sends out millions of laser pulses every second!
These lasers bounce back after hitting an object, and based on the time taken, LiDAR calculates the distance.
Every bounce back creates a point in a 3D space, mapping the world in real-time!
This creates a 'point cloud'—a detailed 3D representation of the environment.
Making it safer for autonomous vehicles to navigate complex terrains.
And that's LiDAR in a flash!
