Live Tonight on Millennium Stage: Join us for a showcase of spoken word, slam poetry, and riveting performances by the 2023 Youth Poet Laureates of D.C., Arlington, and Montgomery County. Awarded annually by the local arts organization Words, Beats & Life Inc., these artists are teenage poets who have expressed creativity in language, served the community through social justice activism, and demonstrated leadership. These talented young artists have received many accolades for their work, including recognition by the Pushcart Prize, The New York Times, and the Poetry Foundation.
