The construction of the Chinese-funded Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway in Indonesia has made a major progress, as the high-speed Electric Multiple Units (EMU) for the project rolled off the assembly line in east China's Shandong Province on Friday.
Meanwhile, the infrastructure is being built as planned with real-time monitoring of regular trains passing through the intersection with No.10 tunnel for safety considerations.
With a designed speed of 350 km/h, the 142-kilometer-long railway line will cut the traveling time between Jakarta and Bandung, capital of Indonesia's West Java province from over three hours to around 40 minutes.
The whole project has been proceeded to 84 percent of the schedule and is expected to complete in June 2023.
