Caminito Del Rey close to Malaga Spain used to be described as the world's most dangerous and scariest hike. It is a popular day trip near Malaga Spain. Caminito Del Rey was originally built as an access route to nearby hydroelectric dams. As it fell out of use, the path deteriorated and it became a way for dare devil hikers and thrill seekers to test their nerve. After several tragic hiking deaths at Caminito Del Rey, the local government closed the site and renovated it into a safe and popular tourist attraction.
The trip to Caminito Del Rey from Malaga took a while and the entry to the park was quite disorganized and we almost left out of frustration. Watch the video to see if we thought that hiking Caminto Del Rey was worth he drive and the trek to the site.
