Welcome to this playlist of me finally getting back into sculpting. And it was fun.
This is pt.3 of a clay sculpture of Trog the Troglodyte, a stop motion primate from Ray Harryhausen's Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977).
He is made using aluminium armature, Scola nylon reinforced air dried clay and DAS air dried clay. Painted using acrylics and clear Mod Podge where necessary. Some trimmings from a carpet for his hair. He is about 27 cm (10.5 inch) tall.
This is my entry for the Morrigan's Monster Mayhem challenge on Instagram. I hope to be able to post it on Instagram but cannot at the moment. PC problems. HoHum! #morrigansmm @morriganscreations

Who is Trog?
The Troglodyte (or Trog for short) first appeared in 1977’s Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger. In the film, Sinbad and his crew encounter the prehistoric primate like creature near a waterfall, while initially feeling threatened, the Trog proves to be a shy, peaceful and friendly creature. After coming to an understanding with the humans, he helps them find the way to the Gateway to the Shrine. Troglodyte is an ancestor of humans, and it accompanies Sinbad's crew to the shrine where Prince Kassim can be restored. In the film’s climax, Trog appeared again and fought the Smilodon to protect his newfound friends, only to be tragically killed. However, his death would soon be avenged when Sinbad slays the predatory saber tooth cat.
