suicide was a song Isaac Dunbar released during the end of summer in 2018 in an EP on SoundCloud called ‘academicism’ that’s now turned private/archived, the theme is suicide, the after effect of it and why not to; He’s singing from two different perspectives: the person who is trying to kill themself and the person who is trying to convince them not to.
As taken from his comment off of a lyrics video, he states: “i just wanna say i wrote this song for those who feel alone. i’ve had one of my best friends attempt suicide three times and i wrote this song as a gift to her. i was there by her hospital bed for hours with her, and i wrote this song to comfort her. to know that i care and that i love her. reading all these comments and seeing how this song is comforting people is insanely surreal, and my i’m so grateful that my goal has been achieved.
this song is a gift to anyone who struggles with suicidal thoughts… feeling as if you’re alone and that nobody cares about you… you are NOT alone. don’t ever give up"
Suicide is the 6th track on Isaac’s newest EP, Isaac’s Insects, released April 9, 2020.
