The Blue Eye in Albania is a freshwater spring at least 50 meters deep that looks just like a human eye. The iris is composed of turquoise water and the pupil is the darkness of a deep underwater cave.
Water erupts with incredible force from deep in Siri and Kalter, at a speed of 18,400 liters per second. The water from the Blue Eye spring (and 18 others along the way) feeds the 25 km long Bistrice River, before finally ending up in the Ionian Sea near Saranda.
