Update on May 6, 2023: Hello guys, if anyone is still watching this. I still plan on making a part 2 to this video, but life is really busy right now, and the computer I used to make this is basically dead, so it might take a while...
After trying to do some research on Soviet serial killers in both Russian and English, I came across the fact that resources in English paint an untruthful picture of the Soviet investigators, making them appear quite stupid and incompetent. Hereby, I tried to offer all of you English speakers a different perspective by translating an episode of the cult Russian series "Criminal Russia" into English. I hope this will help my fellow true crime entousiasts.
The series is incosistent with the names: They call the same person by different names or adress one person with the name of another one, which is confusing. So, to make any further research easier, I tried to use the real, full names of all the people involved. So if you're wondering why you're hearing one name and seeing the other, that's why.
I'm planning on translating part 2 and the episode on Anatoly Slivko eventually, but this took me way longer than I would like to admit, so the next video will probably appear after at least a month or two.
ALL RIGHTS TO THE VIDEO BELONG TO NTV. I DO NOT PROFIT FROM THIS. I TRANSLATED IT FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
I had to censor out some parts due to YouTube putting an age restriction on the video. If you want to see those parts, I'd recommend you check out the original video.
