Foreclosure Timelines Increase - Housing Crash Prevented ? Foreclosure Filings increased slightly from Q4 2020 to Q1 2021, as well as the average days it takes to Foreclosure, which has many Housing people throughout the industry stating that the long time frames will prevent a Housing Crash or downturn in the Housing Market. What many of them do not realize is that there is and will be a significant backlog of properties working through the Foreclosure process and we are now see Lenders, local Courts and others at the State level laying groundwork to expedite the process due to, what must be, the volume that they believe will hit in the near future. All these new efforts are designed to move properties at a faster pace with the goal to avoid the issues of the previous Housing Crisis.
