The Thai parliament will hold a debate on Sept 18 to discuss Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha's incomplete recital of an oath of office. The opposition has lined up at least 17 MPs to grill cabinet members, asking why it failed to recite the whole oath as stipulated by the constitution. The new government was sworn in on July 16 in a ceremony in front of the King. However, the oath they took left out a crucial part at the end, which critics say could render the government illegitimate.
