Here we are - at the beginning of the end. This stage starts with three deroys shooting at the EDF, who are positioned in the park, followed by a host of spiders. After that there are type 2 drones, cosmonauts, flying frogs, ants, pill bugs, a hornet queen, King Spider, ant queen, and then Teleport Anchors!
All that said, this stage is not that difficult with the Air Raider. Using the defense booster to keep the EDF alive, the ZEXR Guns to kill enemies and build up points for the almighty KM6 air strike and the level 80 dual flamethrower/shotgun mech, helps keep the enemies from overwhelming the EDF and me. If the whole KM6 air strike strafes the boss level enemies, will take them out generally one pass, and I'm not afraid to jump out of the mech, call the strike right on top of me, and then jump back in. There's also the turrets and EDF helping out. The pick up radius on the mech allowed me to pick up health kits and generally keep everyone alive.
I didn't bring a single shot weapon here, so I had to rely on the mech to shotgun the Teleport Anchors, and the flamethrowers were equally important in thinning out the ground enemies - especially the cosmonauts.
I actually did not have a hard time with this level at all. It's shorter and much less trying on your patience than mission 107, and I considered it a nice break. Admittedly, I usually have the KM6 air strikes killing things so fast, that when I actually did notice the ant queen while recording, I was shocked, because it was so unexpected to find it right next to me.
I thought this was a really fun stage, despite how messy it looks.
