Everybody poops, or at least they're supposed to. Children & adults with neuromuscular conditions often have trouble with this.
What's happening to their arms, legs, etc... on the outside is happening to the inside as well.
After all other options have not been successful our Pediatric surgeon suggested a MACE procedure, aka appendicostomy with a Chait Trapdoor, some call it a C-Tube. Creating a way to give anterograde enemas so we have a predictable bowel movement. Surgery was fast & we left the next morning after making sure the tube flushed easily. What a difference this made! A few months later we experienced a tube pull out 😳
