At the India Today Conclave East 2021, Sitaram Yechury, General Secretary, CPI(M), said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would tie-up with the BJP if the upcoming election in the state throws out a hung Assembly.
Responding to allegations that the Left has become the BJP's 'B-team', Yechury said this was "fanciful thinking by somebody who has to be told that the boot is on the other foot".
