Starting with a phonetic introduction of the word, coupled with a few innate body reactions that seed the idea of a mind-body connection, OOPA takes learners to her signature WORDSHOP where she meets her friend NoNo who has a bunch of boxes. He uses different types of boxes, like wood, metal, and cardboard to store different things. He even turned one cardboard box into a rocket ship! Then in the “Movement Room,” they connect the word BOX to their bodies. They pretend to be a rocket ship blasting off, just like the cardboard box rocket ship. OOPA closes with a quiet reflection, modeling mindfulness as a healthy habit.
